For orders where withholding sales tax is required, Tophatter will retain the sales tax that was charged to the buyer and remit to the appropriate entity at the end of the year.

Sales tax rules are complicated, and vary by jurisdiction and type of goods sold. We recommend that you speak with a qualified tax adviser if you have any questions regarding your requirement to collect and remit sales tax.

We recommend considering potential sales tax implications before deciding to sell on Tophatter.
